Donald Trump’s war with CNN continued yesterday after he unceremoniously kicked out a senior reporter from the Oval Office.
White House correspondent Jim Acosta was attempting to question the President about immigration policy but was failing to be heard.
Acosta yelled “Mr President” three times before Trump, who was meeting with President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan at the time, finally acknowledged him.
Taking his chance, Acosta went in on the recent remarks that Trump is alleged to have made about what kind of immigrants he wants in the United States.
In chaotic scene, Acosta repeatedly shouted: “Did you say that you want more people to come in from Norway? Did you say that you wanted more people from Norway? Is that true Mr President?”
Trump responded: “I want them to come in from everywhere… everywhere. Thank you very much everybody.”
Acosta was seemingly not happy with the response and attempted to push the President further, calling out: “Just Caucasian or white countries, sir? Or do you want people to come in from other parts of the world… people of colour?”
Trump had apparently had enough at this point and simply pointed at Acosta and said: “Out.”
One of the President’s team can then be heard saying “Jim, thank you.”
Acosta later took to Twitter to claim White House staffers obstructed him from asking questions at a meeting in the Roosevelt Room.
